Exmar has made a slew of changes at the top of the company.

The company has, among other moves, reconfigured its corporate structure into three new business units — Exmar Shipping, Exmar Infrastructure and Exmar Shipmanagement.

Jens Ismar, Western Bulk's former chief executive since 2008, will lead Exmar Shipping.

He joined Exmar in September to head its LPG segment, which made $53.8m of Exmar's $98.3m in revenue for the first half of 2019. He has been an Exmar non-executive director for nine years.

Before joining Western Bulk, Ismar served as commercial director for Bergesen dy ASA, later called BW Gas ASA. Before that, he held various positions at Stomoco Shipbrokers and Lorentzen & Stemoco, including CEO from 1997.

Jonathan Raes, managing director of Exmar's LNG Infrastructure for the past year, will run Exmar Infrastructure, which includes the company's LNG infrastructure and offshore businesses.

He joined Exmar's technical department in 2008 and its LNG Infrastructure division in 2012. He has served in other development and commercial roles within this segment, including three years as business development manager and deputy managing director.

Joris Daman will lead Exmar Shipmanagement after serving six months as the segment's general manager and head of procurement and logistics since April 2014.

Patrick De Brabandere, a long-time Exmar executive, will take over the finance chief role from Miguel de Potter, who will depart 1 February to "seek other challenges".

De Brabandere joined Exmar's c-suite in 2003 as chief financial officer, before taking on his current job in 2008.

Francis Mottrie, chief executive of Exmar subsidiary Bexco, will join in a newly created deputy chief executive position.

"Exmar is a company with a great reputation, a global pioneer in floating solutions for the operation, transportation and transformation of gas," Mottire said in a statement.

"The future opportunities are numerous and promising."

The company also said Wouter De Geest would be joining the company as an independent director after its next board meeting on 29 January. De Geest is president of VOKA and chief executive of BASF Antwerpen.
