Two more Tidewater executives are leaving the company.

The Houston offshore player disclosed Thursday that it had reached agreements with chief operating officer Jeffrey Gorski and general counsel Bruce Lundstrom that will see the duo resign from their positions at the end of the month.

"We are grateful for the contributions Jeff and Bruce have made to Tidewater over the years, and in particular for the important roles they played during our recent restructuring and subsequent merger and integration," said chief executive Quintin Kneen.

As part of the move, the chief operating officer position has been eliminated and Daniel Hudson will take over as general counsel.

Gorski and Lundstrom's departure comes just over four weeks after former chief executive John Rynd announced his retirement.

Rynd took the reigns at Tidewater in February 2018, seven months after the company emerged from bankruptcy, guiding it through a merger with GulfMark that closed last November.

Kneen was named his successor 4 September.

He said Thursday's moves would make the company more efficient and improve its decision-making.

"At Tidewater, we are dedicated to finding additional opportunities to streamline our shore base infrastructure in order to reduce general and administrative expenses as part of our commitment to be the most cost efficient major offshore vessel operator in the world," Kneen said.
