Private investment company Lake House has handed over management of two boxships to Hamburg-based PT-Shipmanagement (PTS).

The London and Hong Kong-based fund said it picked PTS for its high level of digitalisation and improved transparency on costs.

The two ships are 1,300 teu. One is the Charlie B (built 2010), which is the only vessel listed in the fleet of Inter Ocean Express of Hong Kong. The other was not revealed.

Lake House said it expects the duo to operate at significantly lower costs and improved yields.

The company would not comment further on its shipping investments.

Lake House has interests in property, finance, transport, natural resources and consumer and modern technologies.

Investment volumes range from $10m to $500m.

Its website has the tagline "Global, tailored, industry agnostic."

Patrick Toll's PTS was founded in 2015.
