The gathering, dubbed the “4 Bs in Bergen”, marked the first time the company’s fleet had ever been in the same place at the same time, anywhere in the world.
Mike Rodwell, managing director of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “Today has been a very special day for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. We were delighted to be joined by Fred. Olsen and Fred. Olsen Jnr, our Chairman, at the Port of Bergen today, and it was with great pride that the fifth and sixth generations of our company looked upon their cruise fleet, joined together for the very first time."
The vessels arrived in the city yesterday, with the 44,000-gt Balmoral (built 1988) tied up at Bontelabo Pier.
The 28,500-gt Boudicca (built 1973) and 804-berth Black Watch (built 1972) stood at Skolten Pier and the 929-berth Braemar (built 1993) at Festningskaien Pier, a statement said.
The ships later departed in “diamond formation, led by a fire tug boat spraying its water cannons.
