NCL plans to revitalize vessels over this year and 2015 including the Norwegian Jewel, which just re-entered service following dry dock, and Norwegian Pearl, Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Spirit, which were also recently refurbished.
"The youngest fleet at sea continues to get even better," said Kevin Sheehan, NCL’s chief executive.
"We are investing significantly in making sure that our guests have the vacation of a lifetime and fully experience what it means to cruise like a Norwegian."
The line is also developing an eco-friendly destination, the 75-acre Harvest Caye in southern Belize. Scheduled to open in the autumn of 2015, it will offer excursions on the mainland or shopping, water sports and beach areas on the island.
NCL has two 4,200-passenger ships on order at Meyer Werft: Norwegian Escape scheduled for delivery in the autumn of 2015, and Norwegian Bliss in the winter of 2017.
