Finland's Containerships has returned to profit in the third quarter following its acquisition by CMA CGM.
The liner company said net earnings were EUR 0.98m ($1.12m) to 30 September, from just EUR 12,000 in 2017.
Revenue grew to EUR 68.3m from EUR 55.8m.
"The Russian market has remained challenging due to economic sanctions and the country’s overall economic situation," it said.
"The UK's Brexit decision has at least not yet impacted the company’s business. No significant changes are estimated to occur in the operating environment in the near future," it added.
Revenue is expected to grow by 10% for the whole of 2017, and EBITDA is also expected to improve.
Work will continue on improving operating efficiency, the company said.
The challenging situation in the Mediterranean is expected to continue, it added.
