Net income rose to €2.1m ($2.22m) through 2014, a 40% rise on the €1.5m of the previous year.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation  rose to €209.5m  from €191.8m in 2013.

Top line revenues were however down at €545m, a near 6% reduction on the previous year.

German credit rating agency, Creditreform, has upgraded Rickmers to a 'B-' from a 'CCC.'

Rickmers increased its Frankfurt Stock exchange listed corporate bond issue by €50m to €275m during 2014.

At an operational level Rickmers boosted its fleet with seven of the ten 5,400-teu container ships ordered in partnership with Oaktree now in operation.

The number of vessels of up to 4,000-teu in a joint venture with Apollo has been increased to twelve.

Operating from Hamburg and Singapore, the Rickmers Group owns or manages a fleet of 112 vessels.

Most are containerships of up to 13,600-teu but there are also car carriers and heavy cargo capble multipurpose vessels.
