Norway's GC Rieber Shipping has fixed out an offshore construction vessel (OCV) for cable-laying work in the UK.
Tanker and marine services group James Fisher will operate the 11,803-gt Polar Onyx (built 2014) for what could be more than a month, if all options are declared.
The deal begins shortly, the company said, and is in almost direct continuation from a Nigerian charter it carried out in the first and second quarters of this year.
"We're pleased to see continued utilisation for Polar Onyx in today's market and look forward to working with James Fisher for this opportunity," said CEO Irene Basili.
The Bergen-based owner lost its charter for the ship, its single largest investment, in Brazil last September when Ceona hit the rocks.
