Houston-based seismic ship operator Axxis Geo Solutions (AGS) has listed in Oslo after taking over the listing of Arne Blystad's Songa Bulk.
The two companies announced a tie-up in April which saw AGS investors take 96.6% of the shell company.
Songa Bulk had sold its bulker fleet to Star Bulk Carriers last year.
Wednesday was the first day of its listing on the Oslo Axess board. The ticker is now AGS.
“Axxis Geo Solutions has today achieved its goal to become a publicly listed company on a regulated market. This is an important milestone for AGS which clearly marks the company’s ambition to grow and strengthen its position as a pure-play ocean bottom node seismic company”, said AGS chairman Rolf Ronningen.
Its operations are based on a scalable asset-light strategy through chartering of vessels and nodes. It operates four ships currently.
