UK accountancy group Kingston Smith has joined the Moore Stephens International network.
Based in London and with 62 partners and 550 staff, Kingston Smith is a top 20 UK accounting firm.
Maureen Penfold, managing partner of Kingston Smith, said the move was a natural next step in supporting clients to reach their potential for international expansion.
"Being a part of this powerful global network will bring considerable benefits to our clients, enabling us to offer a fully integrated service to support their growth consistently across the world," Penfold said in a statement.
"We are equally excited about the new opportunities it will bring to our people, as we will be able to offer enhanced global mobility and greater collaborative knowledge sharing on an international scale.”
Costas Constantinou, global leader of Moore Stephens International Shipping and senior partner of Moore Stephens Greece, told TradeWinds that Kingston Smith will remain independent.
Talks to come
Constantinou added: "In my new additional capacity as Moore Stephens shipping leader, I have been very busy during the last few months visiting other member firms and getting to know the network better, and things are now getting back to normal.
"With the addition of Kingston Smith our shipping network has again a substantial London presence."
He said: "I am going to England next week and will meet one of our new colleagues from Kingston Smith to discuss how they can help us in the shipping ecosystem."
