New York-listed GasLog and GasLog Partners have found a successor to Richard Sadler as their chief operating officer (COO).

Stolt-Nielsen executive Paolo Enoizi will start in the role in August from Piraeus in Greece.

He will work alongside Richard Sadler to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities, the companies said.

When Sadler joined in August 2017, he indicated his desire to work with the rest of the senior leadership team to identify a long-term successor for the COO role.

Enoizi was most recently managing director of Stolt Tankers BV Rotterdam, a subsidiary of Norway's Stolt-Nielsen.

He was responsible for the operation of more than 100 chemical tankers, 200 shore staff and more than 4,000 seafarers.

Enoizi also held roles including director of technical and innovation and general manager of newbuilding and technical.

Big-time experience

"He has led major business transformations, integration of company acquisitions and operational improvement initiatives in areas such as process optimisation, cost reductions, digitalisation and business intelligence," GasLog said.

Prior to joining Stolt-Nielsen in 2008, Enoizi was managing director of a family-owned ship management company.

GasLog CEO Paul Wogan said: “I am delighted to welcome Paolo to the GasLog team. His wealth of knowledge and experience in the shipping industry will complement the operational excellence developed over many years by our outstanding team in Greece.

"His dedication to the highest standards of safety, flawless operations and technical innovation will also be of great benefit as we strive to deliver our vision of being the leading provider of LNG shipping services.”

Andrew Orekar, CEO of GasLog Partners, added: “Having a person of Paolo’s calibre join our leadership team represents a significant vote of confidence in our platform and growth strategy.

"I very much look forward to working with him as we continue to improve the quality and cost-efficiency of our operations.”

Sadler is a former Lloyd's Register chief executive who joined GasLog from Ravi Mehrotra's Foresight group.

He replaced the retiring Graham Westgarth.
