Fast-growing product tanker giant Hafnia made the best of early summer weather to host a party for over 150 clients and partners in Geneva, one of the key centres of the global oil trading community.

With the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic now behind, Hafnia’s commercial and bunkering team took the opportunity to hold their eighth annual summer event at the historic President Wilson hotel.

Traders and brokers from many high-profile players attended, including TotalEnergies, Trafigura, Cargill, Nyala Shipping, Gunvor, Barry Rogliano Salles, Braemar Shipping Services and Clarksons.

After acquisitions from Chemical Tankers Inc and Scorpio Tankers earlier in the year, the BW Group company says it now controls around 248 vessels, including 125 owned, 109 operated and 14 on time charter, from LR product tankers down to chemical carriers.

With offices in Singapore, Dubai, Copenhagen and Houston, Hafnia claims to be the largest commercial player in the market, with pools in all product segments, including new LR2 and chemical pools that complement its existing smaller tanker and LR1 operations.
