Eidesvik Offshore has signed a deal to supply Seabed Geosolutions with seismic source and node-handling vessels over a "long-term" period.
The two have agreed a master timecharter agreement, under which individual contracts will be called off, the shipowner said on Monday.
Under the first call-off agreement, Eidesvik's 93-metre seismic source vessel Vantage (built 2002) and node-handling vessel Subsea Viking (built 1999) have received three-month extensions to their respective charters to Seabed.
The extensions will employ the pair until the fourth quarter this year and come with options attached.
AIS tracking data shows both vessels have been conducting surveys since the start of the year in the Buzios field in offshore Brazil, which is operated by Petrobras.
"We are very pleased with the contract awards, and we look forward to further developing our relationship with Seabed Geosolutions," commented Jan Fredrik Meling, Eidesvik's chief executive and president.
Neither the value, scope nor the duration of the master timecharter were disclosed.
