TAS Offshore has found a buyer for a landing craft in a deal that will deliver a boost to its full-year accounts.

The Malaysian shipbuilder said a European company had paid MYR 17.29m ($3.87m) for the ship.

TAS will deliver the landing craft to the unnamed owner in the second quarter of 2017.

The sale will bolster its results for the financial year ending on 31 May 2017, a statement said.

Prior to today TAS last inked an order in August with a MYR 31.6m contract for two harbour tugs.

It reported net deficit of MYR 18.68m in the fourth quarter, against a profit of MYR 2.26m in the same period of 2015.
