Dutch owner Vroon has clinched a three-year charter extension for an anchor-handler in Thailand.

The 65-bp VOS Ares (built 2012) has been kept on by PTTEP, it said.

This commits the ship until at least June 2022.

The unit operates as a production-support vessel, forming part of PTTEP's core fleet.

It has "performed well for PTTEP in the Bongkot field since October 2018," Vroon said.

"The extension now awarded is proof of the charterer’s satisfaction and witness to our crews’ dedication, professionalism, hard work and constant focus on safe operations," it added.

No financial terms were disclosed.
