Denmark's World Marine Offshore (WMO) has taken over compatriot wind farm vessel owner KEM Offshore.
The company said it had acquired all vessels and activities from what it called a pioneering firm within offshore wind.
WMO has formed a new company called WMO Support as a standalone operation to take over KEM.
It will operate from offices in Denmark and Germany.
All existing KEM contracts and operations are being transferred.
No price was revealed for the deal.
KEM was founded in 1995 and subsequently designed and built its own ships for crew transfer services.
It now has a fleet of eight vessels.
WMO CEO Lars Zohner said: "We have over the years followed the development of KEM Offshore and now finally agreed with the owners to acquire all the vessels and activities.
"We will implement the vessels and activities under WMO management and look forward to working with the new clients."
WMO already has 18 crew transfer ships and eight multipurpose DP2 offshore vessels. It also has offices in the UK and Taiwan.
In January it took over commercial management of the fleet of Danish offshore vessel owner A1 Partners, which was renamed Wilson Offshore.
