New York City's BlackRock has shown an interest in Miami-based Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, having taken its stake past 5%.
The investment management firm has claimed a 6.4% interest in the New York-listed cruise company with the holding of 14.3 million shares, an SEC filing shows.
The SEC requires investors that cross that 5% threshold to file their positions with the regulatory body.
Leading investors in the cruise major include Vanguard Group at 10%, T. Rowe Price at 9.4% and Capital Research & Management at 7.1%.
Norwegian has a market capitalisation of $11.4bn, its stock edging up 1.4% to $52.01 in early-afternoon trading.
BlackRock ups Seacor Holdings stake
The investor also took some more of Seacor Holdings, investing another $15.6m in the Florida-based diversified owner, whose shares gained 0.6% to $42.39.
Its previous stake was 12.5%.
Top owners of Seacor include Vanguard at 9%, Dimensional Fund Advisors at 8.4% and Royce & Associates at 7.8%.
