Stena-controlled tanker owner Concordia Maritime is hunting for a new chief financial officer after Ola Helgesson resigned.
The product carrier specialist said the executive quit after six years in order to take on new challenges.
"It has been a real pleasure to work with Ola over many years," said chief executive Kim Ullman.
"During his time at Concordia Maritime, he has strongly contributed to development of both the finance function and the company’s operations in a broader perspective. I would like to thank him for his solid efforts and sincerely wish him every success in his future role."
Helgesson will continue in his current role during an unspecified notice period or until a successor is put in place.
The shipowner has started the process of recruiting a new CFO.
Helgesson, born in 1969, has been with Concordia since 2014 and before that as CFO at Stena Line.
The executive also has previous experience with Rederi AB Transatlantic and the Port of Gothenburg.
He holds 10,000 Concordia shares.
Earlier this year, Concordia moved all its employees except for Ullman to Denmark from Sweden for tax reasons.
The company posted a net loss of SEK 35.9m ($4.04m) in the third quarter, against SEK 35.6m a year ago.
Concordia is expecting a recovery for product tankers next year, after racking up a loss in what it called a weak market in the period.
