FTAI Offshore has poached a former executive of collapsed Hallin Marine to strengthen its Asia-based team.
The Fortress Transportation subsidiary has hired Jon Attenburrow as managing director and head of Asia.
Robert Gibbons, managing director of FTAI, said: “We are very excited to bring Jon on board and look forward to leveraging his considerable experience and extensive network to help build FTAI Offshore into a leading international offshore service provider.”
Attenburrow helped in developing Hallin into a leading international company until its sale to Superior Energy Services in late 2014, FTAI added.
FTAI is headquartered in New York but also has offices in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. It controls three subsea vessels.
