A bulk carrier owned by Sea Globe Management of Greece has grounded on the Parana River earlier today.
Argentinean maritime agency NABSA reported the 58,750-dwt Globe Trinco (built 2008) ran aground at KM 401 of the river, close to the Rosario Port, during its downriver navigation.
The Marshall Island-flagged vessel is reportedly obstructing the navigation in the area.
The Globe Trinco is one of the four vessels listed in the fleet of Vassilis Laliotis-controlled Sea Globe Management.
The latest groundings reported on the Parana River were in October, when two vessels touched bottom.
