A worker has died following a fall at Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction (HHIC) in the Philippines.

The man, named as Jerome Cenas by the Manila Times, plunged 18 metres in a cargo tank.

The newspaper said it had seen a report by Hanjin management that said Cenas was possibly resting or lying down on a scaffold after finishing his task earlier than scheduled.

Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority has begun an investigation.
