Teekay Corporation has posted a video on YouTube paying tribute to the crew who perished aboard the Nagasaki Spirit 25 years ago.
On 19 September 1992 the aframax tanker was hit by with OOCL´s 1,514-teu containership Ocean Blessing in the Malacca Strait.
The collision sparked a huge oil fire that claimed 42 lives, virtually the entire crews of both ships, with only two crew members surviving.
“This is in memory of those who lost their lives on that tragic day, 25 years ago. We will never forget,” Teekay said.
