Samsung Heavy Industries has been ordered to stop operations at its Geoje plant in South Korea after a fatal crane accident.
The Korea Times cited the ministry of employment and labour as saying a 58-year-old worker was killed on Saturday when a 1.5 ton steel beam fell from a crane and hit him.
The incident took place a day after another employee was hit by a wire rope at the yard.
The 43-year-old is in a critical condition.
A Samsung Heavy official told the newspaper the company will abide by the suspension order and will do everything it can to prevent any safety incidents in future.
"The recent incidents are very unfortunate and we express our condolences to the bereaved family," the official added. "We will take all possible measures to create an accident-free workplace."
"Since the incident, labourers have stopped work at Geoje shipyard."
In 2017, six workers died when part of a crane collapsed.
