The contract with an unnamed major oil and gas company  is for consecutive voyage charters with the StenaProvence and Stena Polaris.

"We are very proud to have concluded this deal and weare looking forward to continuing to develop this growing trade with refinedpetroleum products into the Asia Pacific,” said Kim Ullman, chief executive ofConcordia Maritime. He says the tankers are well suited to the trade due totheir shallow draft design.

“Since January this year, we have adopted a more aggressivechartering strategy to maximize the vessels’ superior earnings capacity, whichis also the case with this deal,” he added. The company did not disclose arate.

Concordia Maritime owns a fleet of ten P-MAX and one Suezmaxtanker and has two IMO2MAX MR product tankers on order for delivery in2014-2015.
