Brazilian state oil major is to run refinery tests this month in preparation for the IMO 2020 fuel rule-change.
It said: "During the period of tests, the marine fuels to be offered in the port of Santos most likely will contain a lower viscosity."
According to the Platts news agency, it added that it can guarantee ISO 8217:2010 availability, but will be unable to know the exact viscosity of the products beforehand.
Petrobras also told customers that it has discontinued sales of RMK 500 high sulphur fuel oil at Santos.
