Trading and shipowning giant Trafigura has said it will end third-party collaboration for "business development."
In a short statement, the company said it continued to build its own presence in many markets and would continue to use technical operational service providers, like port and shipping agents.
It will also use advisory consultants in public affairs, security and risk analysis sectors, where necessary.
But it added: "These arrangements are subject to a number of requirements. There will be no new agreements with third parties for business development purposes."
CEO Jeremy Weir said: “We have decided that all agreements with third parties providing business development services will be ended by October 2019."
Trafigura has been contacted for further information.
