Finland's Containerships has bought back EUR 11.4m ($13m) of notes as bondholders exercised sell options following its takeover by CMA CGM.
The French line bought the company last year and holders of the EUR 60m notes due 2021 had the right to require Containerships to repurchase the debt.
The deadline for tendering the notes was 4 January.
Bondholders offered in 19% of the principal amount and the shipowner bought them back on 1 February.
It paid 101% of the nominal amount, together with the accrued and unpaid interest.
