Finland's Containerships is launching a bid to buy back its EUR 60m ($67m) bond issue due in 2021.
It is paying 106.5% of the outstanding nominal amount, plus accrued interest.
The redemption relates to the reorganisation of the CMA CGM Group, which bought Containerships last year.
Monday marked the first day of its combined operation with CMA CGM short sea line MacAndrews, which included a merger of Container Finance into Containerships.
It also included a partial de-merger of the current land and agency businesses of Containerships and a cross-border merger of the company into MacAndrews in Germany.
The combined operation has been renamed Containerships – CMA CGM.
The whole reorganisation is scheduled to complete during the last quarter of 2019.
