New York-listed Global Ship Lease (GSL) has extended deals for two boxships with Israel's Zim.
The 5,936-teu Dimitris Y and Ian H (both built 2000) will stay with the operator for between 21 and 24 months.
The deals start in June and July in direct continuation of current charters.
The new terms will add $4.4m of adjusted EBIDTA per ship for the median firm period.
GSL currently lists the vessels booked with Zim until at least the second quarter of this year at $16,750 and $17,000 per day respectively.
GSL executive chairman George Youroukos said: “Amid strong demand for our high-specification post-panamax containerships, we are making important progress in securing long-term employment across our fleet, locking in multi-year cash flows in our structurally under-supplied vessel classes.
"Our leading commercial capabilities enable us to capture attractive charters, ensuring that GSL is in position to reap the full benefits of the ongoing charter market recovery.”
Last week, the company agreed a 30-month charter with Maersk Line for the 5,936-teu Tasman (built 2000) that may go as far as 38 months.
The deal is expected to begin in July 2019 after the current charter expires and includes a 12-month extension at Maersk’s option.
