A young cadet has died after losing both his legs in a mooring rope accident in Fiji.
The Fiji Times reported 22-year-old Viliame Uluinaceva was caught in the line while trying to berth the 2,300-gt ro-pax Spirit of Love (built 2001) on Monday.
An investigation has begun.
The Fiji Sun said the accident took place at Vanua Levu.
The vessel is operated by Patterson Brothers Shipping.
