Seaspan Corp announced two new hires Monday, capping a series of management changes over the last year.
Former AP Moller-Maersk executive Toresten Holst Pedersen will take over as executive vice president for ship management and Ted Chang has been named general counsel.
“Torsten and Ted have both had distinguished careers and demonstrated successes in their respective fields,” said Seaspan president and chief executive Bing Chen.
“Along with other recent additions filling out our leadership team, we have an extremely dynamic and exciting group in place on which we can build success and effectively scale our organisation."
Pedersen comes to Seaspan after stints as Inchscape Shipping Service’s regional CEO for Middle East, Africa and South Asia, as well as head of operations for shipmangent giant V Group. He previously held C-level positions at Maersk in HR and finance.
Chang had previously worked as senior legal counsel at Seekers, a Hong Kong hedge fund and private equity firm.
The hires come after recent departures at the Hong Kong-based, New York traded containership owner. In April, chief financial officer David Spivak, as well as general counsel and chief operating officer Mark Chu announced their departures.
Last year, co-founder and chief executive Gerry Wang announced his departure from the company.
