Yang Ming is reorganising its Asian network "under the impact of rising global trade tensions," it said.

A relocation and adjustment of cargo flow and supply chains is expected, the Taiwanese liner company added.

As a result, it is launching a new intra-Asia loop, China-Thailand Service (CTX).

The first sailing is scheduled for 12 July from Shanghai.

The run will use three 1,200-teu feederships, one of which is contributed by Yang Ming.

Ports are Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Laem Chabang, Bangkok and Hong Kong.

"Yang Ming continues to enhance its intra-Asia service network to provide customers with better and more comprehensive services," it said.
