TradeWinds wrote in the above article that Times Navigation purchased four supramaxes from Turkey’s Densan Shipping back in October 2015, in an en bloc deal worth $27m.
However, managers at Times would like to clarify that the deal’s total value was $22.4m.
TradeWinds also wrote that Times may not have made a profit when it resold one of these ships, the 56,800-dwt Jupiter (built 2008), for $6.7m in November 2016. Times says it made a “slight profit” from that deal.
