Goldwin Shipping of Hong Kong looks to be exiting the dry cargo market with the sale of two supramax vessels and the planned disposal of a third ship.

European shipbrokers are reporting the company to be selling two Chengxi-built vessels for a combined $23m to $23.5m.

The 53,000-dwt Amber Beverly (built 2011) and Amber Alena (built 2010) have been committed to a Chinese buyer, multiple broking sources say.

At the same time the 63,000-dwt Amber Champion (built 2013) is inspectable in China this week, where it is discharging a cargo.

Should this ship also be sold, Goldwin Shipping would be left with only tanker newbuildings on its hands.

Those two 55,000-dwt ships were inked at Chengxi in late 2017 at a cost of $39m each for delivery in 2019.

Executives at Goldwin, which is know as a speculative investor in newbuilding projects, were unavailable for comment at the time of writing this week
