Diamantis Diamantides-controlled bulker company Marmaras Navigation is believed to be close to selling a second supramax bulker in a month.

The 55,000-dwt Louise B (built 2011) has gone to an undisclosed buyer for $9.6m, Greek broking sources said.

Marmaras does not comment on commercial transactions. A source close to the company, however, insisted that no deal had been concluded at this point.

Marmaras bought the Hyundai Vietnam Shipyard-built vessel in July 2015 for $13.2m from Hi Investment and Securities of South Korea.

Last month, Marmaras reportedly sold sistership Lalis D (built 2011) to a Chinese buyer for $9.4m.

This was the first sale of a vessel for Marmaras in six years. The transaction meant that the company had a fleet of 32 bulkers.

Diamantides also controls Delta Tankers, which has a fleet of about thirty vessels.

Last month, the outfit purchased the 297,000-dwt TRF Horten (built 2018) from US-based Transportation Recovery Fund (TRF). The Hanjin Subic-built tanker reportedly changed hands for $72m.
