All 60 crew members have been rescued after their cable-layer caught fire and sank off South Korea.
The blaze broke out on the 105-loa Responder (built 2000) on Friday morning off Tongyeong.
Video footage released by Tongyeong Maritime Police Station shows orange flames and black smoke billowing from the vessel as it sinks by the stern.
The ship went down after South Korean coastguard's firefighting ships tried to extinguish the flames for more than 12 hours.
South Korean media reports cited authorities as saying pollution from the ship is possible.
The sinking was blamed on flooding caused by the firefighting attempts.
Crew safely on nearby vessel
The crew was evacuated to a nearby cable-layer that had been working with the Responder.
The German-built ship is owned by KT Submarine of Busan.
UK shipbroker Clarksons said the vessel was sold by Denmark's Maersk Supply Service to KT in 2015 for $43m.
The South Korean-flagged vessel's UK insurer Standard Club has been contacted for further details of the casualty.
The Responder has a clean port state record going back to 2001.
