A Swiss reefer has been involved in a collision with a Russian navy frigate off Denmark on Wednesday.
The 668,135-cbf Ice Rose (built 1985) and an unnamed naval ship came into contact in the Oresund between Copenhagen and Malmo in Sweden.
No injuries or leaks have been reported, according to the Aftonbladet daily.
Denmark's TV2 television station said Ice Rose has a hole in its hull three metres above the waterline, citing Denmark's Armed Forces Operations Centre (AFOC).
Visibility was down to 50 metres at the time due to dense fog in the area.
Authorities have sent three Swedish Coast Guard ships and a helicopter to assist.
Danish authorities were notified of the incident at 10:00am local time (0800 GMT).
Both ships have anchored at the site.
No signs of water ingress
Ice Rose has stated that there are no signs of water ingress, AFOC officer on duty Klaus Thing Rasmussen told Aftenposten newspaper.
"We have no sanction options against the Russian naval vessel, as it is Russian territory," he added.
The reefer has protection and indemnity cover through Gard of Norway.
Ice Rose has no port state control detentions on its record going back to 1999.
No one from Swiss operator Maestro Shipping was immediately available to comment.
The reefer was heading from St Petersburg in Russia to Gothenburg in Sweden.
