Diana Shipping has penned its second chartering deal with Koch Shipping in two weeks.
The New York-listed dry bulk vessel player has entered into a 19-month to 22-month contract with Singapore-based Koch for 208,006-dwt San Francisco (built 2017).
The rate for the Newcastlemax is at $16,000 per day, beginning today, with earnings expected at about $9.1m for the charter's minimum period.
TradeWinds reported 21 February that Diana Shipping had fixed 177,000-dwt Houston (built 2009) with Koch for 14 to 17 months at $10,500 per day.
The capesize is coming off a one year charter to Clearlake Shipping at $19,000 per day.
Upon completion of the previously announced sales of panamxes Danae and Dione, Diana Shipping's fleet will consist of 46 dry bulk vessels.
