A Russian cargoship crew are running out of food, according to its captain.
Gennadi Kukvinov told the BBC that his colleagues on the 3,200-dwt Alexander Tvardovskiy (built 1996) have not been paid.
The ship was held at the port of Leith in Scotland earlier this month with several deficiencies, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said.
It was missing valid international safety management (ISM) and ship security certificates.
The master said he sent a request for food on 8 July, but nothing has arrived.
"So now we have only some remainders of food," he added. "No fresh fruit, some pieces of meat, some pieces of bread."
The MCA said it was working closely with the owner to address the deficiencies.
Shipping databases list the ship as operated by North-Western Shipping of Russia, but the company told TradeWinds it has no connection to the ship.
