Two crew have died and 11 more were missing after a typhoon raged through Vietnam on Saturday.
The storm, named Damrey, hit the southern and central coasts, sinking two cargoships and grounding or damaging another six, including a ferry, local media reported.
The 3,100-dwt Ha Trung 98 (built 2010) was one of those beached. It is operated by Ha Trung River-Sea Transport.
Hong Kong owner Foresight Marine's 4,400-dwt general cargoship Fei Yue 9 (built 2004) was smashed onto rocks, reports said.
And domestic owner Thanh Hai Transpotation's 3,900-dwt Thanh Hai 18 (built 2006) also grounded.
A total of 76 crew were on the eight affected ships.
