A ro-pax has capsized in the Philippines, but no casualties were reported.
The 1,000-gt Danica Joy 2 (built 1982) had arrived at Zamboanga on Thursday from Malaysia when it overturned while moored.
The Aleson Shipping Lines ferry had brought in 779 passengers, but they had all disembarked. The crew were all accounted for.
Khymer Olaso, supervisor of the vessel, said an initial investigation showed the boat listed to starboard and capsized “due to improper unloading of cargos,” the Sun Star daily reported.
The port side had been unloaded first, causing an imbalance, he added.
