Greek Dry bulk player Castor Maritime is set to make its debut in New York.

The Petros Panagiotidis-led company will begin trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market 11 February under the ticker symbol CTRM.

Castor, which owns a single ship, the 76,500-dwt Magic P (built 2004), opted to go with a direct listing last year.

The plan, in which the company foregoes an underwriter and sells shares directly to investors, was popularized by Swedish music streaming service Spotify, who did their's early last year.

No shipping company has successfully completed a conventional IPO since mid-2015.

Castor's shares on the Norwegian over-the-counter market will continue trading.
