The Icelandic liner booked a net profit of EUR 1.16m for thethree months to 31 December, reversing a loss of just under EUR 1m in the finalleg of 2012.

This was despite overall revenue dipping by 1% to EUR 106.9mfrom EUR 107.9m a year earlier

However sales from liner services increased by 2.8% to EUR 79.2mwhile the company’s main market in the North Atlantic saw a 7.9% rise.

Profit for the year fell by 15% to EUR 10.8m due to a tax deductionof EUR 1.8m reversing a rebate of a similar amount in 2012.

Total sales for the period rose by 2.4% to EUR 433.8m in2013 from EUR 423.7m in 2012.

Revenue from liner services amounted to EUR 319.2m, anincrease of 3.8% on the previous year.
