Zodiac Maritime principal Eyal Ofer has topped a list of the richest Israelis - but only because the survey was carried out before Roman Abramovich was granted citizenship.
The Marker business daily said Ofer is worth $9.3bn, while his brother Idan came in at number 15 on the list with $2.25bn.
Russian billionaire and Chelsea FC owner Abramovich has $12.5bn. He became an Israeli last month after having trouble renewing his UK visa.
The other notable shipping presence on the list was Shari Arison, Israel’s richest woman.
She was ranked fourth with a net worth of $5.5bn, mainly due to her interest in cruiseship giant Carnival Corp, run by her elder brother Micky.
