Hornbeck Offshore remained in the red in the second quarter.
For the three months ending 30 June, the Louisiana-based, New York-traded company posted a $31.9m loss, deeper than the $25m posted for the second quarter of 2018 and an $0.84 loss per share, four cents worse than analyst expectations.
Revenues were down, too, year-over-year from $58.4m to $56.8m.
The second quarter figures did represent an improvement over the first quarter, where the company posted a $36.6m loss.
Further, the company's average and effective OSV dayrates were $18,198 and $5,878, which Hornbeck said was in line with the first quarter.
