The Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry (LISCR) has confirmed that Scott Bergeron, its former chief executive, has departed the organisation.
Alfonso Castillero has been promoted to the role of chief operating officer from his previous position as head of commercial, the registry said in a statement.
Castillero will report directly to the Cohen family, in particular Adam and Elan Cohen, who will continue to lead the organisation as executive chairmen, the statement said.
No replacement for Bergeron, who joined the registry in 2000, has yet been announced.
Bergeron has been with LISCR for 19 years and has been chief executive since 2011.
Prior to that, he was chief operating officer.
