The Japanese shipbuilder is predicting a deficit of JPY 2.6bn($25.4m) for the 12 months to 31 March, 27% higher than its previous outlook of JPY3.6bn.
However the loss will still be far deeper than the JPY533m deficit suffered a year earlier.
Sasebo is predicting full year revenue of JPY 30.9bn, or3% higher than its previous forecast but 20% down on the previous year.
The company has recently clinched ship orders from Taiwan's First Steamship and Quintana Shipping.
