Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries has bagged an order for two VLGC newbuildings as part of an order haul worth over KRW 410bn ($337m).
The two 84,000-cbm vessels have been ordered by an unnamed Asian shipowner and are due for delivery by November 2021.
The shipbuilder said it had also secured a newbuilding order from another unnamed Asian owner for three 115,000-dwt product tankers, due for delivery by September 2021.
The two VLGC are costing a total of KRW 197.3bn, while the product tanker order is worth KRW 211bn, Hyundai Samho said.
Hyundai Samho posted sales of KRW 1.6 trillion in the first half of the year, down 35% from a year earlier, but its operating profit swung to black over the same period.
