Bacardi is taking MSC to court, accusing the shipping giant of committing a major party foul.

In lawsuit filed in New York federal court Wednesday, the US arm of the liquor company alleged a shipment of 480 cases of Grey Goose vodka arrived in Long Beach last winter “in a short, slack and damaged condition.”

Bacardi said it suffered $15,000 in damages and is seeking the arrest of the 109,495-dwt MSC Channe (built 2015), on which the vodka was transported.

The shipment left Le Havre on 5 December, 2017. It arrived in Long Beach 9 January, 2018.

MSC did not immediately return requests for comment.
