Shipping law firm CJC's director Ian Short has moved back to London after founding its Singapore office five years ago.

The company said his role remains unchanged and he will continue to work closely with the Singapore team on Asia-related cases.

But he will also be "well-placed to develop working relationships with clients throughout Europe and elsewhere," it added.

Short said CJC's commitment to growing its Singapore business remains undimmed.

It recruited well-known maritime lawyers Paul Apostolis and Gareth Williams there last year, and added Andrew Gray from the London office.

The Singapore operation “continues to go from strength to strength,” Short added.
